Which STCW Online Courses are Approved?
- Basic Training
STCW Basic Training four course bundle is a mandatory requirement for all seafarers starting a maritime career. It equips crew members with essential safety and emergency response skills, covering:
- Personal Survival Techniques (PST): survival methods at sea if a ship must be abandoned. It covers subjects like lifejackets, life rafts, and surviving at sea until rescue.
- Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF): fire prevention techniques on board, types of fires that may occur on vessels, firefighting strategies, and how to use firefighting equipment properly.
- Elementary First Aid (EFA): fundamental knowledge for delivering first aid for common illnesses or injuries onboard until professional medical help is available.
- Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR): awareness about safety procedures, pollution prevention practices, interacting effectively with team members aboard ship, understanding chain of command and enhancing communication skills.
