EAP-Hellenic Open University
This example shows how the EAP – Greek Open University and SQLearn collaborated to implement a new curriculum using the mixed training model (face to face training in conjunction with video conferencing).
The challenge:
To EAP is an educational institution that offers courses using remote education. Thus it chose to invest in a partnership with SQLearn to remote training for the program “Management for SMEs (DMME”). This program targets business executives in the private and public sectors.
The approach:
- E-learning environment – Platform
We created an electronic environment, with the logos and visual appearance selected by EAP, which provides the new training program to the executives who are interested.
Emphasis was given to the training of the trainers, who had to master the tools of modern education, and management of the virtual classrooms. The electronic environment was created via the product e learning Suite, so that it can support a mixed education model that combines synchronous (teleconferences) and asynchronous remote education.
- Collaboration for technical support
SQLearn took over the responsibility to implement the training face to face for both the trainers and the trainees, so that they could the use the tools of synchronous training and the technical support for video conferencing.
- Collaboration for the production of educational content from the video conferences
SQLearn’s team worked with the instructors to record the synchronous courses, edit the educational material and produce webinar-type electronic courses. These are uploaded on the platform and are made available to trainees.
The result:
The electronic environment for the DMME was created through which the program is being made available. The first part of the implementation cycle has been completed with great success according to the trainers. The program’s success led to a second implementation cycle during which it was decided to provide not only all the sum of the sections but each section individually in order to serve the specific needs of the executives.
